Helena P. Aten Picture

I am a Ph.D. candidate in economics at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.  My research interests are in the areas of political economy, microeconomic theory, industrial organization, and applied econometrics. My dissertation advisors are Luca Anderlini and Roger Lagunoff.

The title of my job market paper is “Competing Informed Principals and Representative Democracy”. I also have work on institutional stability and information exchange within democratic political systems.

Prior to attending Georgetown, I received an M.Sc. in Economics from University College London and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Dartmouth College.
